The 350 engine is new - as compact as a 300 cc but with the performance of a 400 - 150/70 rear tyre and a new look, rich in brushed details, for an evolution of the species which extends the class and elegance of Beverly to the sport class. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Special Edition

Big power delivered smoothly has always been a big Ninja hallmark, so the changes for 2012 begin in the new ZX-14R’s engine bay. First off, there’s more displacement via a 4mm stroke increase; to 65mm (up from 61mm), with displacement now registering 1441cc (up from 1352cc). Combustion chamber shapes are newly optimized for 2012, and they’re surface-milled now, not cast. Intake ports are reshaped and polished for maximum flow while working in concert with longer and more durable intake valves. Yep, the new Ninja ZX-14R Special Edition really does come “ported” right from the factory. The camshafts working those valves are more radical, with increased lift and revised profiles, while a stronger cam chain and revised tensioning system maximize reliability at the stratospheric rpm levels this engine is capable of. Newly designed forged pistons with thinner crowns offer increased durability and less weight, and are cooled by a new oil-jet cooling system that pumps a continuous stream of lubricant at the underside of each piston. (Testing shows the engine runs considerably cooler with this system.) There’s more: Compression is up from last year; connecting rods have beefier small ends, and are made of a stronger material; crankshaft main journals are thicker, from 38 to 40mm; a new air-cleaner element is larger and thicker, with 10% more surface area and 40 percent more airflow capability; and transmission gears have been heat- and surface-treated to be even more durable and shift more smoothly.

Honda Shadow RS Price: $8240

Honda has launched an onslaught of cruisers that have probably caught the attention of the Harley-Davidson boys in world. The Shadow RS aims right for the 883-size Sportsters with its classic style and 745cc V-twin. On paper it's a clone of the rough-hewn Harley. But in practical use, the Honda is tailored more for twisty roads than solely for boulevard cruising. This would be an excellent bike for the beginner cruiser rider because it's one of the least intimidating bikes on the market, and yet large enough to accommodate taller riders. And the Shadow would make for a great commute, delivering 56 mpg.

2012 Ducati 848 EVO Corse SE

The 848EVO Corse Special Edition uses identical DTC and DQS concepts as the new 1199 Panigale. DTC monitors front and rear wheel speeds to detect rear wheel-spin under acceleration and electronically reduces engine power to optimise traction performance. DQS allows the throttle to remain open when changing-up through the gearbox, helping to save vital fractions of a second in the pursuit of faster laptimes. The 848EVO Corse Special Edition rolls out in red, white and black Ducati Corse livery with red Trellis frame and black wheels.

Aprilia Shiver 750 Price: $9499

Aprilia is Lamborghini's equivalent. For less than $10,000, the Shiver 750 delivers the Italian riding experience, and plenty of tech, too, like the multimode throttle-by-wire system so the rider can select varying performance levels from the 95-hp 750cc V-twin. The Shiver 750 is a tyke compared to Aprilia's 1000cc superbikes. But it doesn't ride like one. And like its rival, the Ducati Monster, the Shiver has an upright riding position that makes it a great commuter bike, and a comfy one for even longer trips, too. The difference here is that taller riders will appreciate the Aprilia's roomier ergonomics.

Honda’s new NC700X

Honda’s new NC700X is a real breath of fresh air in today’s world of specialized motorcycles, a new concept in streetbikes, and one that puts the FUN in Functional. During the week it’s an awesome commuter. On the weekend it lets you go exploring in the country, or carve up a twisty canyon road. Light, nimble, and with an engine that offers a generous helping of useable torque, it’s all wrapped up in a package that’s big enough for longer rides, but not a handful in tight traffic or in a parking lot. And to sweeten the deal, it’s even available in two versions: one model features a conventional six-speed, manual-clutch transmission, while a second version is available with the latest generation of Honda’s exclusive automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The nine-time world champion admitted as much after finishing ninth in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, 36 seconds behind race winner Jorge Lorenzo, and 21 seconds behind teammate Nicky Hayden, who was once again the top Ducati rider, a distinction the American sees little value in. Hayden races to win, as does Rossi, but winning is a long way off for both of them. From the time Rossi first tested the Ducati GP10 in Valencia at the end of the 2010 season, through a number of chassis changes, and a completely new motorcycle with an aluminum chassis for 2012, there’s been a distinct lack of feeling in the front end. The Ducati GP12 is clearly the best of the lot. The front-end crashes that plagued both Rossi and Hayden last year are mostly gone: When they crashed in exactly the same spot on the brakes at Silverstone, it was the first time both had crashed this season. But they still don’t have an answer to the front-end struggles. “For me our bike have a problem that we cannot create enough front grip for stop the bike and for turn the bike,” Rossi began, “and at this moment we don’t understand in which way we can fix and especially we don’t understand why, where is the problem. So with the setting we can move the bike all through the front to all through the rear, high, up, but at the end the problem remain always. New Hyundai Concept Motorcycles

A motorcycle dazzling future, this concept was made by Min Seong Kim, with inspiration coming from the muscle with a muscular form. This concept also evokes fluidic statue from the top and bottom of the intertwined together. The whole body of motor charming, composed of material that stretches and shaped like a muscle, looks muscular and characterize the future of a futuristic design. When turning a corner, the whole body relax so it can smoothly corner, and when accelerating, it contracts to form a rigid body. This is a very interesting idea, into a new evolution in the design of future motorcycles.

2012 KTM 1190 RC8R Track

KTM 1190RC8R using 75 ° V engine type 4-stroke with a total capacity of 1195cc engine reaches that are divided into 2-cylinder DOHC 4-valve as well. 2012 Ducati Sportbike The 2012 Ducati 848 EVO's Testastretta motor pumps out a claimed 140 horsepower and 72.3 ft/lbs of torque-more than liter-bikes of just a few years ago. With Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires and Showa suspension, little of that power is wasted. Something of a stripped down Superbike with a focus on the basics, virtually none of the technological wizardry found on the 1199 Panigale is employed on the 848 EVO, though some are available on the Corse SE version, which also has larger front discs and Öhlins suspension.
